The Chicago Region of the Porsche Club of America was established in 1957 as the Chicago-Milwaukee region, making the 6th region in the country. The region was the host of the fourth Parade in 1959 at Nippersink Manor in southern Wisconsin. By 1960, the northern Illinois membership had grown so large that it could support its own region and a split at the border could be made. Beginning in 1960, the original Chicago-Milwaukee region became the Chicago region, and a new region was created in Milwaukee. We are one of the largest regions with more than 4100 members and are part of PCA’s Zone 13.
For more on how the region started, click here.
The members of the Chicago Region of the Porsche Club of America are joined together and are mutually pledged to the furtherance and promotion of the following:
- The highest standards of motor vehicle maintenance, driving courtesy and safety on the roads.
- The enjoyment and sharing of goodwill and fellowship engendered by owning a Porsche and engaging in such social, educational, or other events as may be agreeable to the membership.
- The maintenance of the highest standards of operation and performance of the marque by sharing and exchanging technical and mechanical information.
- The establishment and maintenance of mutually beneficial relationships with the Porsche Works, Porsche Dealers, and other service sources to the end that the marque shall prosper and continue to enjoy its unique leadership and position in sports car annals.
- The interchange of ideas and suggestions with other Porsche Clubs and other interested parties throughout the world and in such cooperation as may be desirable.
- The establishment of such mutually cooperative relationships with other car clubs as may be desirable.
- The preservation of the independence of the Porsche Club of America (PCA) and the Chicago Region, free of control or undue influence by any outside individual, organization, company, or other entity, no matter how closely aligned to the Club in interest or purpose. In furtherance of this goal, the Porsche Club of America – Chicago Region is and shall remain a totally member-driven and primarily member-financed independent entity allowing neither inappropriate nor undue influence, financial or material, from outside its domain, owing allegiance only to its members.
For more information about becoming a member, see our membership page here.

Porsche Club of America-Chicago Region is hosting this unique opportunity to learn the fundamental skills necessary for Precision Care Control from our talented members and instructors. Fundamentals include extreme braking, importance of vehicle balance, fastest and safest line through a turn and many other skills that directly transfer to daily driving, autocross, high speed Driver’s Education and even racing! Experience what it looks and feels like to REALLY control your Porsche in a safe, controlled environment.
Who should attend?
Anyone wanting to improve their driving skills, has a need for speed, or wishes to understand and experience the capability of their vehicle in a safe, closed-course environment. This is also great for folks who plan to participate in other extreme car control, Autocross or Driver’s Education events.
What should I expect?
Classroom and in-car instruction with a heavy emphasis on driving because we believe the best way to learn is to do it! The classroom sessions cover the fundamentals of performance driving and Autocross, the events our club use to test and improve these skills. You’ll also receive personal in-car instruction while navigating through various exercises marked by traffic cones. Finally, you’ll be coached by volunteer PCA-experienced drivers as you negotiate a complete, untimed Autocross course, at your own speed. This event will occur rain or shine (besides, some driving exercises are more fun in the rain!).
Autocross School co-coordinators David Bowers and Joe Morsello, along with a whole host of volunteer instructors, will be putting on this first driving event of the season.
Please be prepared to display a valid driver’s license. Minors must provide junior waivers signed by at least one parent (preferably both).
Snell 2015 SA- or M-approved or newer helmets are required but a few loaner helmets will be available. See the sponsors section of our website for PCA Chicago supporters who can provide you with appropriately sized equipment to meet your needs.

Now’s the time to schedule some springtime excitement! Driving your Porsche at speed on a track, in a safe and controlled environment, with an instructor sitting right next to you!
Newly paved Blackhawk Farms Raceway, in South Beloit (near the Wisconsin/Illinois border), is a complex 1.9 mile, 7-turn track that provides an ideal learning environment that will keep you focused all day.
We typically have 40+ novice drivers, so this is a great way to meet fellow enthusiasts, learn the track, learn the car, and have a GREAT time doing it. We also incorporate a group of more experienced drivers, so no matter what your experience, this is an excellent “season opener” for you track enthusiasts, or soon-to-be track enthusiasts.
This event is open to all sport cars that pass tech (Cayenne, Macan or other SUV’s, electric vehicles, and open-wheeled vehicles are not allowed) and to all drivers 18 and older with an emphasis on the novice driver. This is the event to attend if you are new to the club and are interested in learning how to drive your car on a race track. Novice drivers get a morning and afternoon classroom sessions and in-car instruction.
This event also has an online classroom session on Tuesday, April 21st, starting at 7:00 PM where you will learn the basics of safely driving on a racetrack and what to expect during the event. If you have never driven on a racetrack, attending this session is highly recommended. Access information for attending the session will be emailed to new drivers in advance of the session.

Event Details
The Porsche Club of America – Chicago Region presents RADE, our annual Road America Drivers Education event, with a focus on novice drivers. Year over year this premier racetrack in Elkhart Lake, WI draws us north to continue our growth and expand our driving skills. This year’s event is Friday May 22rd – Sunday May 24th.
The Road America team of coordinators have been working hard to consider your feedback and provide the most track time for drivers during the three days, while maintaining a safe place for all skill levels to enjoy and learn the 4.048 miles and 14 turns of the track. Due to continued increases in track rental fees and associated expenses, we are tasked with maximizing the fun of each participant while maintaining our ability to run this event each year. As a result, there are some changes this year to RADE:
- Friday will be dedicated to experienced only drivers, featuring 15 on-track sessions. Drivers who register will have the opportunity to drive as many sessions as they would like. Guidance will be provided to alternate between two suggested groups based on driver experience and pace. All sessions will have the same passing rules/zones and use Chicago Region White group safety requirements (factory seats/seat belts acceptable). All drivers are expected to have prior experience in DE events at Road America.
- The excellent novice program at RADE will continue on-track Saturday and Sunday shifting to a 4-run group schedule, with sessions for novices, instructors, and experienced drivers. All students will be provided with an in-car instructor, and mandatory classroom sessions will be held both in advance of the event virtually and during the event.
- On Saturday and Sunday, there will be two experienced run groups, with a limited, additional cost option to run in both run groups for even more on-track opportunities.
Other important notes about RADE 2026:
The RADE novice program was developed to teach novice drivers ages 18+ the skills necessary to drive a sports Porsche (no SUVs or E-cars) at its limits in a safe and controlled environment. In-car instructors will show you the proper line around the track, teach how the principles of accel- and deceleration impact your vehicle, and coach proper car awareness. Novice drivers are encouraged, if possible (not required), to attend the Novice Day DE at Blackhawk prior to coming to this event. If you are on the fence about attending Road America as a novice, rest assured driving this track in a Porsche is one of the most fun experiences you may ever have!
All drivers who have not driven Road America previously must attend the MANDATORY virtual novice driver’s orientation meeting in advance of the event. Additional classroom sessions and in-car instruction will be provided throughout the weekend to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
By popular demand, the Saturday evening pizza party and social will be returning for the second year! Please plan to join the fun at the end of an exciting track day to discuss with peers and enjoy some pizza and a cold beverage or two. Bring your family and crew, and let’s give a warm PCA Chicago welcome to our novices!
Payment via club registration is required in full prior to event confirmation. Note that entry fees will increase May 3nd to Weather Watcher rates! Fees increase regardless of registration date for any unpaid registrants.
Online waivers are required for all participants. Your entry will not be confirmed until the e-waiver is completed, and payment is made. Be sure to opt-in for text communications to stay up to date with all event announcements.
All registered drivers must be active PCA members in good standing. Please add your PCA membership number to your clubregistration.net account.
We recommend booking your hotel room as soon as possible as this is traditionally a very popular weekend in this resort town. Mention PCA Chicago if booking at The Osthoff Resort to receive the discounted block room rate. Note: if you would like to camp at the track, please contact us for details and fees.
INSTRUCTORS: To accommodate in-car instruction for novice drivers, please indicate you are willing to instruct during registration, if you are comfortable. Instructors will receive e-vouchers/promo codes after the event which can be used toward future PCA Chicago events, in the amount of $100 per student per day. Instructors should check their registration final confirmation email to see if a student has been assigned. Thank you for your willingness to contribute to the future of driving in the club!
Note: While we are prioritizing Porsche vehicles at this event, PCA-Chicago members will be permitted to drive a comparable performance vehicle (no SUVs, no E-cars) from another marque. This allowance is at the discretion of the event team.

Event Details
The Tire Rack Street Survival School is a must for all teen drivers. When teen drivers attend this school, they learn to drive their car in a safe and controlled way, and they learn and practice driving skills that will keep them safe on the road.
The school is a full day, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We provide coffee, juice and donuts, lunch, and liquid refreshments throughout the day for students, parents, and volunteers.
Class size is limited to 30 students. Students must be between 15 and 20 of age and must have had their learner’s permit for at least half the time the issuing state requires before taking their driver’s test or has a full driver’s license. Registration preference will be given to the children of a PCA Chicago Region member.
Students drive their own vehicle or the one they most frequently drive on a daily basis. If two siblings are attending an event together, and the car they both drive on a daily basis is the same, they may share a vehicle.
High Center of Gravity Vehicles (HCGs) such as SUVs, SAVs, Trucks, Jeep-type vehicles, and Minivans are verified on a case-by-case basis and may not be allowed. The older HCGs without electronic stability control (not just the electronic traction control) will not be accepted. HCG vehicles may still be limited with respect to the exercises in which they are allowed to participate based on local venue conditions.
The day is a mixture of classroom and in-car exercises. The students spend about two hours in three classroom sessions where they learn the theory of safe driving. Except for an hour break for lunch, the rest of the time is spent driving their car in a series of 5 or 6 exercises that simulate real world driving conditions.
Students learn how they and their car can cope with actual driving situations. Instructors will ride with the students and provide immediate feedback, and students will drive each exercise many times, allowing them to learn from their mistakes and develop and practice correct driving techniques.
Parents are encouraged to attend our school. They may sit in on the classroom presentations and observe the driving exercises.
Students should register using the “Register for this Event” button below when registration opens.
Volunteers and instructors should register for this event by clicking here when registration opens.

Join us for our fourth annual Driven Women Ladies’ Day Driver Education Day. This year we will be driving Blackhawk Farms Raceway. As usual, drivers will get plenty of track time, classroom and in-car instruction, and an all-around great time.
Have you ever wanted to try your hand at driving on the track but maybe had some reservations? What were they?
- Too much testosterone at those male-dominated events
- Don’t own a Porsche
- Don’t have the need for speed
- Don’t want to or are intimidated to drive partner’s Porsche
- Don’t want partner’s judgement or advice about driving
Over the years, as we’ve encouraged women to come out and participate, these are the things we’ve heard.
Bring your Porsche sports car or non-Porsche sports car (electric and open-wheeled vehicles are not allowed) and experience what it is like to drive Blackhawk in South Beloit, IL. Because of a lack of demand, there will not be a run group for SUVs this year. You must be driving a car.
This event also has an online classroom session on Tuesday, June 9th, starting at 7:00 PM where you will learn the basics of safely driving on a racetrack and what to expect during the event. If you have never driven on a racetrack, attending this session is highly recommended. Access information for attending the session will be emailed to new drivers in advance of the session.
This is an event just for ladies (18 or older with a valid driver’s license), run by ladies.
Please consider joining us. You never know, you may love it as we all do!

The Porsche Exchange
The Porsche Exchange is a Porsche exclusive dealership that operates out of Highland Park. We have been here for over 30 years and we have worked with thousands of Porsche customers and enthusiasts over the years. We would love to work with you. Though we may be a large dealer with over 100 new Porsche models routinely in stock, we are still a family-owned dealership, and we look forward to each and every customer interaction.

Porsche Club of America – Chicago Region is returning to Barnaba Autosport this year for another awesome party. Registration is completely free, quick, and easy. Each guest requires a ticket. This is a PORSCHE ONLY event.
Expect great food and fun for all. Barnaba is serving up a freshly grilled BBQ lunch. Don’t miss out, it is quite a spread! Barnaba’s shop will be open and you can roam freely. It is a great facility filled with great cars. We always get a HUGE turnout for this cool event.
This is a PORSCHE ONLY, family friendly event, so please bring your Porsche for everyone to see! Feel free to share the registration link below with fellow Porsche owners! Just remember, they must be registered to attend. We can’t wait to see you all!
Registration is mandatory for all guests as this is a private event. Did I mention the event is PORSCHE ONLY?
Please note: The registration link below will take you to Barnaba Autosport’s Eventbrite registration page once it becomes live. This a little different from the Club Registration page you are probably accustomed to. This allows Barnaba to track registrations and give their catering company a good head count. If you are a PCA member use the designated box when registering for tickets.
The Club is looking for 12 volunteers to come out early and help out for this large event. We will help set up chairs and tables and direct cars to parking areas. Please send me an email with your contact information and I’ll get you the details. You will receive a custom event t-shirt as a gift. Thanks for the help.
